Ashton W. Ray, MAI, joined Murphy Appraisal Services in April 2005 and became a state certified general real estate appraiser in January 2009.  He received his MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute in June of 2015.  He is the manager of the Hammond office and primarily focuses along the I-12 corridor as well the Mississippi Gulf Coast market. Mr. Ray has a Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama appraisal license. He has completed many commercial appraisals including single tenant and multitenant office buildings, retail strip centers, mixed-use developments, apartment complexes, golf courses, etc.  His area of expertise is subdivision developments (residential, industrial, or commercial) and self-storage facilities.

Mr. Ray currently resides in Amite, Louisiana with his wife, Brandi, and their three sons, Eli, Cohen and Oliver. After graduating from LSU in 2003, he started his career at Well Fargo Financial in Dallas, Texas. Extracurricular activities include hunting, fishing, the occasional golf outing, and spending time with his family. He is the president of the Amite Area Youth Sport Organization, and sits on the board of the Audubon Center Condo Association and the Tangipahoa Parish Forestry Association. Ashton is also a licensed real estate agent with 10/12 Properties and is active in the real estate market.
